We welcome newcomers with open arms and invite each to find a place to call home within the warm embrace of our church family.
New members are received into the congregation after completing the new member class. This class is designed for those interested in exploring the nature of Christian faith and potential membership in Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church. It includes a review of traditional Christian doctrine, key tenets of Reformed faith, an overview of worship and the sacraments and an in-depth look at the history, mission and ministries of Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church.
New member classes are taught by Associate Pastor Randy Weber, with all FAPC clergy participating. Please see the church calendar or Adult Education section for a list of upcoming classes.
The new member class is offered four times each year, and new members are welcomed into the congregation on a proximate Sunday. This is a festive day that includes a new members' breakfast, a meeting with Session members and special recognition during worship.
