Mission Statement

The mission of The City Club is to enable members and friends ages 45 and over to meet in Christian fellowship through a variety of social activities, and to sponsor service projects that will help create stronger bonds within our congregation and benefit those in need in our city and beyond.

By getting involved in this new initiative you will have an opportunity to meet at evening gatherings and brunches, and activities/events of common interest to you and other members and friends, plus to put your talents to work on service projects.

Upcoming Events

Sunday, July 27: City Club Picnic
You are invited to a potluck picnic at the Schildwachters’ backyard in Yonkers, NY at 1:00 pm. Bring your favorite appetizer, side dish, dessert, or something for the grill. It will be a “tasting feast”. Easy access by Express Bus up Madison Avenue (about 45 minutes) or Metro North (about 35 minutes). Cost is $5 per person. Friday, August 22: Baseball Game
Join us as we go to watch the Cyclones, farm team for the Mets, against the Lowell Spinners, farm team for the Sox, at Keyspan Park, Coney Island, with a beautiful view of the ocean. The park is easy to reach by subway (D, F, N, and Q trains). The game begins at 7:00 pm with fireworks following the game. Tickets are limited and on a first-come basis. Send checks for $13 each, made payable to: Brunilda Fernandez, 1085 Warburton Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10701; for more information you can reach her at brunilda@optonline.net or 914.423.7256. Tickets and directions will be mailed to you and checks will be returned if there are no seats.
