Saturday, July 12: Terrace Pond
Located on the summit of Bearfort Mountain, Terrace Pond is surrounded by cliffs of purple conglomerate walls, scrub pines, and rhododendron thickets, looks to be of another time. Starting at an elevation of 1100 feet we ascend another 350 feet on this approximately 5-6 mile hike. Transportation: NJ Transit Bus 197 to Greenwood Lake, NJ. (RTE. 513) & Geenwoodlake Trpk. (Rte. 511) and a short shuttle from bus stop.

Saturday, August 2: International Express
Join us on this seven-mile trek from Asia to the Americas with stops in India, the Philippines, Mexico, and China as we journey under the International Express - the Flushing local No. 7 - through the most ethnically diverse area in the world. Enjoy an early lunch at an ethnic restaurant; tour the Louis Armstrong Museum, observe the Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival. Take the No. 7 train to 40th Street in Queens. We'll meet at 10:00 am under the "L" on Queens Boulevard and 40th Street. Cost is $8 for the museum entrance.

Grounds for Sculpture Outing Fall 2005
Fifth Avenue’s Hiking & Outing Club (FAHOC) explores the City and region on foot. The club sponsors activities for Church members and the general public designed to awaken an appreciation for the great outdoors and local history. Typical activities include hiking, canoe trips, and exploration of New York’s many parks and neighborhoods. Most events involve eight to 10 miles of walking and are rated on a scale of A+ to C level of difficulty.
