Finding meaningful ways to give back can be challenging in this fast-paced and often self-focused city. Next Service offers great (and fun) opportunities, locally and internationally, for younger adults to serve God through helping others.

Dozens of Next volunteers have served the homeless men who sleep in our church’s shelter. These service veterans now help new volunteers get involved as early evening or overnight shelter hosts. Next also gathers teams regularly to get their hands dirty outside the walls of our church serving food, helping to build a house with Habitat, or hosting a picnic for the homeless in Central Park.

Next also organizes a yearly international mission/service trip. The Next 2008 Mission Trip to San Jose, Costa Rica drew 17 people to Los Cedros where they restored rooms in a local church and school and took in the amazing beauty of the land and culture.
