Employment Advisory

E-mail Print

The Employment Advisory Committee was founded in 1950 and is one of the oldest church-sponsored employment groups in the city. Our mission is to help people seeking employment or exploring new career options, as well as those who want to stay up to date in a fast-changing job market.

Recent programs have focused on:

  • résumé writing
  • interviewing
  • improving personal presentation skills
  • job resources on the web/free job searches
  • career planning
  • networking meetings
  • using social media in seeking employment

"I always look forward to my presentations at the Employment Advisory Committee's Job Search Series because the audience is lively, diverse, and so responsive."
- Bettina Seidman, Career Consultant

Programs are free and open to all. They are held at Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church from 6:30-8 pm on the first and third Tuesday of the month. Contact: Constance Klages at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
