FAPC operates an overnight Shelter 365 days of the year for 12 older adult men who are currently awaiting permanent NYC housing. Volunteers are needed to provide food, serve as early evening hosts, stay overnight or assist with special events like holiday parties. Hot meals have been prepared and delivered to 20-30 homebound, elderly neighbors every Saturday morning and on holidays for over 20 years. Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church volunteers serve a noon-time meal on the second Sunday of each month to more than 100 seniors at the Woodstock Senior Center, 127 W. 43rd St. FAPC volunteers also help staff Project FIND's full-course Thanksgiving dinner -- complete with music and dancing.
