Our Choirs

The Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church Chamber Choir is a select vocal ensemble of 18 to 24 of New York’s finest professional singers. Striving always to achieve the highest standard of ensemble singing, this choir presents several concerts each season, of repertoire ranging from Renaissance polyphony through contemporary American.

The Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church Choir is made up of professional singers from the Chamber Choir as well as a dedicated team of volunteer choristers from the congregation. From September to June, the FAPC Choir sings in worship for the 11 am Sunday service and for special seasonal services during Christmas, Holy Week and Easter.

The Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church Community Choir is a non-auditioned choir open to members of FAPC and the wider community who love to sing and want to advance their musical and vocal skills. This choir meets in Jones Auditorium on Wednesdays from 6 to 7:30 pm for rehearsal and fellowship. The Community Choir joins the Fifth Avenue Choir several times each year to lead music in Sunday morning worship.

The Children’s Choir and Youth Music provide opportunities for young people to express their love of God through songs. Choristers learn to read music, develop good singing habits and appreciate the many styles of great sacred repertoire. Our children and youth are featured frequently in Sunday worship, but our biggest performances of the year are the Christmas Pageant, the Family Ministries Christmas Eve service and our Spring Concert. We welcome all children and youth to celebrate God’s gift of music every Sunday at 10:15 am (right after Sunday School), with regular rehearsals from September through May.
