Celebrating Virginia Goss
Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church shares a heartfelt thank you and goodbye to Virginia Goss as she follows her Call to be a hospital chaplain.
Our Assistant to the Executive Pastor & Program Coordinator, she has been a team member for more than a year. She will be leaving the church on Jan. 8, 2021 to be a Staff Chaplain at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Hospital.
Virginia trained to be a Chaplain at Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health in New Brunswick. She completed her residency at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Hospital and received her Master of Divinity at Princeton Theological Seminary. Her new position will allow her to pursue her passion to serve those who find their lives uprooted and to spiritually journey with them while they are in an acute care setting.
All of us who saw her spirit in action know that she brings skills and care to each area of ministry that she touches. From Vacation Bible School to wedding coordination, Virginia’s humor and talent was a bright light to everyone on staff. She shares that she is excited for this next step in her career and will miss everyone at Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church.
“Thank you for sharing your lives with me, from birth to baptism, to weddings and Kid’s Camp, it has been a gift to work and accompany a community who strives to reflect God’s kingdom in New York City and now across the United States.”
Virginia is currently training our new staff member, Katie Le Seac’h, who has just joined the Fifth Ave Team and will be the new Program Coordinator and Assistant to the Executive Pastor. Look for more information on meeting Katie. You are welcome to share a goodbye with Virginia through her Jan. 8 date on staff by emailing her at [email protected].
