Partnering to Help the Homeless
New York City experienced the largest increase in homelessness of any city in the country between 2022 and 2023, according to an April report from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Over 120,000 people reside in the city’s shelter system. More than 4,000 live unsheltered in public spaces.
Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church is proud to be a member of the Ecumenical Outreach Partnership alongside our neighbors, Saint Patrick’s Cathedral and Saint Thomas Church. Together we bring food and care to the homeless and vulnerable.
A team from Saint Patrick’s Cathedral and City Relief, a Christian nonprofit organization that creates pop-up outreach events, recently worked with our dedicated staff to host a homeless outreach program at Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church.
We are extremely grateful to Saint Patrick’s Cathedral for all of their hard work and dedicated collaboration on this event and their ongoing support throughout the years.
